Mobile Marketing Techniques That Work

By Jason Nyback

In many countries, owning a mobile phone has become so common that almost everyone in the world seems to have one already. Apparently, people have already appreciated the value of these gadgets, especially because these make communicating with others and getting hold of information much easier.

Mobile phones are no longer just used for communicating though; with the new features installed that make these internet-ready, people are using it also to shop for anything they need. As an online marketer, you should consider this as good news since it has provided you an opportunity to promote products also through the mobile phones.

The techniques that can be applied for mobile phone marketing may not be much different from that online. Here are some of the techniques that would surely give you positive results:

Text quizzes are known to be very attractive and interesting since people are inherently susceptible to challenges. Initiate quizzes using SMS and send it to people who would most likely respond positively to the challenge thrown at them and prepare prizes such as discounts, coupons, and other less costly rewards you can think of.

Develop a website that is compatible to the formats commonly used by mobile phones. This may require you to do some technical improvements which may cost you a bit, but you should also think about the returns after you have set this up.

Make mobile apps that could be used on people's phones and present these for free just like any promotional material you give out through the internet. Freebies are always effective and providing mobile apps would certainly be appreciated by your target market, encouraging them to try the products that you are selling as well.

Send coupons for discounts through SMS or MMS and include some interesting pictures. The more interesting or intriguing these are, the higher the chances that your potential customers would be attracted to whatever it is that you are promoting.

Text reminders are probably the cheapest form of mobile marketing since you do not have to spend anything but the text messages you sent. However, you would have to make them really encouraging text messages while, at the same time, avoiding tendencies that make it annoying to message recipients.

Surveys on text is another workable technique and this too is not very expensive. The only downside here is that the recipients may not respond at all.

All these techniques require diligence and patience on your part but you should not expect immediate positive results. Because of this, mobile marketing should not be the only method you employ; just make it into one of the many other tactics in promoting products.

What if you can't get more website traffic? Here's a "secret snowball traffic system" that has generated over 1,175,000 visitors for my tiny websites. Click Here Now to get this free video that will show you how to make it happen for your sites. http://www.jasonnyback.com/ezine

The Importance Of Seminars

A lot of people I speak to tell me that seminars are just cheerleading sessions. Well, I beg to disagree. Attending seminars may just be one of the most important things you can do for your Internet marketing career. Many careers have literally be launched because of these seminars with the people attending thanking their lucky stars for deciding to go. But why? Why are seminars so important? What is it about them that can turn a nobody into the next Internet guru? This article is going to explain why seminars are so important and why you'd be foolish to pass up an opportunity to go to one.

Probably the most important reason to attend seminars is exposure. I know you're probably thinking, "But nobody even knows who I am. Who's going to notice me?" That's the point. There are going to be a lot of big names at these seminars. If you take the time to introduce yourself and strike up a conversation with these people, you'll be surprised at the reception you'll get. Don't try to sell anything or push for a JV or anything like that. Just be yourself and speak casually. Most of these people will ask about you and what you do. Over the course of the evening, don't be surprised if you end up going home with a JV deal. It happens all the time.

Another reason to go to seminars is, believe it or not, that you'll actually learn something at these events. Many seminars, because of the price tag that comes with them, will end up teaching you things that you're just not going to learn anywhere else. Most seminars have multiple speakers with all kinds of expertise. You'll learn about copywriting, traffic generation and a wide assortment of things. Bring a pad and a pen. You'll be doing a lot of writing. With all you'll learn, you'll have a very good shot at launching a successful product very soon afterwards.

A third reason to go to these seminars is because you will find a lot of offers for some amazing products at prices that you're just not going to find anywhere else. Some of the biggest names will be selling products that would normally cost you several hundred dollars for a song. This is where you really save a lot of money in the long run. And many of these products are top notch.

So for those of you who think that seminars are just a waste of time, between the networking, the information you'll learn and the money you'll save on great products, attending a seminar can be one of the best things you can do for your Internet marketing career.

To YOUR Success,

Three Tips On Article Marketing

By George Watson

Article marketing is a very powerful way to build your home business and earn money on the Internet. Submit articles to increase your website traffic through improved search engine ranking from the many high quality links back to your site from from article submission directories, and also to get your name out as an expert in your field.

To make the most of your time, your article marketing strategy should include these following steps:

1. Your author box: In every article you submit to the directories, you add an author resource box at the end which will make visitors want to visit your site, read more and eventually buy something. This is a quick blurb about you as an author, including your name with links to your website. Increase clickthroughs by telling about your free ebook or free newsletter.

2. Website content: Make your articles interesting and practical. Readers should be drawn in so much that they want to know more about the topic enough to visit your website once they reach your bio box. You can write about your product or service, discuss products or say how to use a piece of software. Helpful tips, advice and instructions about how to use what you are selling goes a lot way toward building trust with your reader. When there is trust, sales will follow!

3. Distribution: There are dozens of article submission directories you can use to submit your articles manually. This is free but is very time consuming and your time and effort could be used on other important things that you have to do by hand like managing your Pay Per Click campaigns. A much better option is to use an article submission service like ArticleMarketer which automatically submits, tracks and reports on all the relevant article submission directories and article lists it submits to, depending on your membership level. Article submission software is usually limited and tends to break and take time to manage.

Use an article submission service that auto submits to both directories and lists. With directories you get quality back links to your website from the directory as well as by webmasters who use your article on their sites. Lists wont get you a back link but have the potential of getting your article on hundreds or even thousands of quality websites who all give you a quality back link. These back links give your website a ton of clout in the search engines by helping you increase
Page Rank in Google and improve your position in just about all search engines

You can write your own articles or have someone else write them for you. Some affiliate marketing programs give you on topic articles you can use to rewrite and submit to article submission directories for high quality targeted traffic.

Your articles should be unique. Rewrite articles and add in your own ideas to make a brand new article. Using your own ideas and rewritten content will help you stay avoid penalty by having duplicate content that will never stay in the search engine index.

If you write an article for your website that you want to submit, write a copy of it for the article submission directories. If another website wants to use your article, they still have to place a link back to your site and more links will help your search engine ranking and traffic.

The Easiest Way to Find Your Topic for Niche or Affiliate Marketing

People think that this is the hardest step in marketing. It shouldn't be. Niche marketing is straight up easier money than affiliate marketing. While they share the same properties in the fact that you are still doing the same in the end, niche marketing is cornering a small piece of a market, and selling to it like crazy.

And I'm going to tell you a secret that most people charge for, and here it is...

If you can't find a product or service to promote as an affiliate, you're going to have to (do I dare say it... Yes I do...) Make Your Own. Seriously. That's the big secret.

Make your own 20 to 30 paged PDF and sell it. That's the big secret that gurus charge you $97 for. Don't know how much to sell it for? Just ask for a price that's close to the amount of pages you put in it.

Where to Begin?

Well, it has to begin with you obviously. You'll want to start by making some lists. I know, I know. You just want to jump right in there and start making thousands a day like all the gurus. Don't we all want that? Anyways...

Many marketers will tell you to make like 1 or 2 lists, but that is rubbish. I say at minimum 4 or even 5. It'll explain it more in a minute but here are the lists:

  • Things You Like To Do
  • Things You Already Can Do
  • Things You Are Interested In, but not necessarily familiar with
  • Things You can do that could be making you money
  • And finally, Things that you have no idea about, but think that they can be profitable

First up, Things That You Like To Do

This of course is any hobby or special interest that you are into. If you go play racquetball on the weekends, put that in the list. If you like to race people on drag strips, another fine one. Whatever you like to do for fun, put anything and everything you can think of on this list.

So what kind of products could you make of these? Easy. Short 5 to 10 paged reports that you could sell for 5 to 10 dollars. Start out small. Using the racquetball example, make one about exercises to do before playing racquetball, proper technique, the rules, popular players, ways to score, etc. Use your head.

As for the racing one, again easy. You could write a report about how to lower your times for whatever kind of car that you have. This way you might know some amount about it, and you could do some research. It's that easy. If you find a decent amount of buyers, you're golden. Niche marketing works.

Next list, Things That you can Already Do

Now you'll want to make a list of things that you can already do. Say you know how to rebuild engines, there's a great guide right there. Or if you could type 60 wpm, you could sell a guide about typing exercises and techniques to improve typing skills.

This again is anything you can do, as in skills. These may over lap the first list, which is ok for now. If you can't think of any skills, just think about what you do well. If you still need an example, here's mine.

I'm decent at cleaning people's harddrives. Not physically, but I know how to get rid of viruses, make it run faster, and protect it overall. So people in my family and my wife's ask me to help them with their computers all the time. So this was an example of a niche that I got into, fixing hardrives. Its all about what you can do.

Oh ya, before I move on, let me say something first: Playing video games CAN be skill. Writing guides about how to beat games or boss battle guides or the cheats for games CAN be profitable. Sorry, I'm a nerd sometimes... Too much Playstation. Oh well.

Thirdly, Things You Are Interested In

The reason I say this is because you DO NOT have to actually know your niche before marketing it. I'm not telling you to make crappy reports about something you know nothing about, I just mean, it's easy to learn something and then turn it into a report in no time, so don't let not knowing something stop you from making money with any niche.

So now, you'll make a list about whatever you're interested in. This can be broad or narrow, depending on what it is. Just write it down anyways. Say you read about electronic gizmos and gadgets. There are a couple of ways to make money with that:

Make a review blog of those types of items, and have affiliate links to sites that sell them, and sell small reports about flaws and how to use the gadgets. Stuff like that.

So just write down whatever you're into, but not necessarily in.

Then, make a list of Things You Have No Idea About but think they Will be Profitable

This list may be your hardest to do. It's ok. Often times, this one is for me. It's hard to make money when you have no idea what to sell. If you absolutely can't think of anything, then don't put anything. I think its easiest just to read about stuff from emails, tv and life in general to get ideas.

Here's an example. The other day I was at Staples. I was walking around looking at desks and stuff when I saw a lether desktop set. Then I got an idea. What if I tried that niche? So when I got home, I put "Leather Desk Accessories" into Google. There were tons of results. I was blown away. This kind of niche has got to have some money in it because there were so many ads and results. So I didn't get into that niche , but my point is this: You can make money from anything, and people do. Every single day.

Finally, you should make a list of things you could be doing to make you money.

This itself is really a list that you're going to put the rest of your results into. This list is the different ways you could make money online with all of the results you came up with. I'm not going to go on forever, but here are some ideas:

  • review site,
  • review blog,
  • pdfs,
  • reports,
  • guides,
  • services,
  • tutoring,
  • courses,
  • videos, etc.

Feel free to do one or all of them. As for the niches themselves, go start off with the ones that match up the most, then work your way down.

My name is Coty Schwabe. Most know me as The Guru Crusher. I personally enjoy finding much cheaper ways to do things online rather than just buying every product that comes along. I too have a "make money online" package that is comparable to any other called the Ultimate Profit Program. Be sure to visit The Guru Crusher. Stop by for great internet marketing info!
