All successful entrepreneurs, online and offline have set a concrete strategy for themselves and adhere to it regardless of what is the hottest trend in making money.
Do you have the know-how?
Internet marketing is often marketed as easy and anyone can do it. The truth is anyone can do it provided they are creative. Marketing is a creative endeavor, if you have a step by step mentality and need someone to guide you, getting a secure job would save you a lot of mental hassles. But if you decide to stick to it, become a student of the trade.
Do you love what you do?
Are you in affiliate marketing because of the money or do you really enjoy it. All the top affiliate marketers are passionate about what they do. Find your passion, money would find you.
Can you sustain?
In the beginning things can be tough. There is a learning curve which needs to be traversed. If you have a vision and can walk towards it everyday , no matter what impediments come your way, your destination is assured, sweetly enjoy the journey. However if instant gratification drives you, prepare to have a lot of frustration. All good businesses take time to build.
I myself have failed for a long time as an affiliate marketer. The day I resolved to work on my mindset, things started to look bright. Tricks, tactics, list building, pay per click, Search engine optimization, landing pages, all can wait. First get the mindset.
